Equine Treasures

     I really like riding horses and I have lessons every Friday. This is me riding Buster at the place I ride horses. He's 30 years old-very old for a horse, which is around 85 years human time! He is blind in one eye, but loves to go. I really like him, and he's my favorite at the barn. That day I did trotting, catering, and patterns. It was super fun! I really like to draw horses too, and this is one of my latest drawings. I do really well on the portrait of the head, but I need to work on doing the body still. But it is still fun to do it, and tip to anyone who wants to draw them-I start with circles to draw the body, head, and legs to help get the shape. It makes it much easier.  P.S.      Have you ever wanted to help horses, but don't know how? Gentle Giants is a great horse rescue for draft horses. They rescue horses mainly from slaughter, abuse, and neglect. They adopt horses who need help and then try to re-home them.            You can go to the online rescue and donate money that they use to buy food, other supplies, and buying the horses.   They are one of the biggest national forces fighting agents horse slaughter. They are trying to put a end to it once and for all.            I think it is amazing how they are trying to save horses. They are really trying to spread the word. I found out about it when they sent us randomly a calendar for 2022. Horses are my favorite animals, and it breaks my heart how some are mistreated and/or given to horse slaughter to earn just some more money from them. Here I'm going to write facts about equine and some true stories. I will also talk a few places that rescue horses. I am totally horse crazy.
